Soloists from the ensemble Court-circuit
Cocktail offered after the concert
Two composers as important as they are unlike each other: Boulez and Reich. The Frenchman's development of the material contrasts with the American's repetition of the patternes (and slow transformations), the former's formal labyrinth with the latter's clarity, the inner poetry of the one and the jubilant energy of the other. Their one point in common for this concert lies in the electronicss based on the simple recording of the soloist, the clarinet, in which Pierre Dutrieu, who put the programme together, is a past master.
